Receipt Settings

Customise your receipt information and printing preferences to provide professional receipts to your customers.

Accessing Receipt Settings

To access the receipt settings in Terminal Pay:

  1. Tap the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top right hand corner
  2. Go to the My account screen
  3. Scroll down to find the Receipt Settings section

Note: Receipt settings are applied to all receipts generated through your Terminal Pay account, regardless of which device you use.

Customizing Business Information

Name on Receipt

The "Name on receipt" field allows you to set the business name that appears at the top of your receipts:

  1. Tap the "Name on receipt" field
  2. Enter your business name as you want it to appear on receipts
  3. Tap "Save" to apply the changes

This name will be prominently displayed at the top of all receipts, so it's recommended to use your official business name for consistency with your branding and other customer-facing materials.

Address on Receipt

The "Address on receipt" field allows you to include your business address on receipts:

  1. Tap the "Address on receipt" field
  2. Enter your complete business address
  3. Tap "Save" to apply the changes

You can include multiple lines in your address by using the return key. The address will be formatted on the receipt exactly as you enter it here.

Receipt Preferences

Show Address Toggle

The "Show address" toggle controls whether your business address appears on receipts:

  • Enabled (ON): Your business address will be printed on all receipts below your business name
  • Disabled (OFF): Your business address will not appear on receipts, even if you've entered it in the "Address on receipt" field

You might want to disable this option if you operate a mobile business without a fixed address, or if you want to keep your receipts more concise.

Auto Print Receipts Toggle

The "Auto print receipts" toggle determines whether receipts are automatically printed after each transaction:

  • Enabled (ON): A receipt will automatically be sent to your connected printer after each successful transaction
  • Disabled (OFF): You'll need to manually select the print option after each transaction if you want to provide a printed receipt

Enabling auto-printing can save time during busy periods, but you might prefer to keep it disabled if you typically offer digital receipts or want to ask customers if they need a printed receipt.

Additional Receipt Information

In addition to your business name and address, Terminal Pay automatically includes the following information on all receipts:

  • Transaction date and time
  • Transaction amount (including subtotal, tax, and tip if applicable)
  • Payment method (card type and last four digits)
  • Transaction reference number
  • Terminal ID

Tip: To see a preview of how your receipts will look with your current settings, you can go to any past transaction in your transaction history and tap "Print receipt" to see a preview before printing.
